Casio MT-500

German Version

4 drum pads and many drum variations make the MT-500 very interesting. The drum sounds are made of PCM samples, the bass and the chords sound warm, minimal and analog. The device mainly consists of a complex multichip architecture, which allows massive tampering. I focussed on the drum sounds and executed the following modifications:

• Drum manipulation matrix composed of 11 switches
• Mute switch for bass and chords
• 3 shitshot buttons and 1 chaos chords random button
• Filter control for bass sound

I often use this one, so I've got 2 sound examples for you: the first one is pure MT-500, the other was taken from a session with my Casio live project Monomal & Muttermahl.
